Gannett was the beloved son of Stephen and Tracie Fulford and the cherished brother of Esther, Thomas, and Jesse. He was a shining light in his family, supporting them with love and kindness, and making sure that those around him knew just how much they meant to him. He had a deep and profound connection with his loved ones, which was evident in every interaction he had. His passing is a great loss to his family, and they take solace in knowing that he is now in the arms of his Lord, as he was a deeply spiritual young man.
At the time of his passing, Gannett was an Honors Freshman at Florida State University. His passion for learning was apparent in his academic achievements and his love for pushing himself forward in life. He was a bright student, always striving to stay ahead in his schoolwork while also pursuing his love for content creation on social media. With over 80,000 followers, Gannett’s social media presence was a reflection of his creativity, enthusiasm, and the genuine connections he formed with others.
Beyond academics and social media, Gannett’s heart was always with his friends and family. He had a knack for bringing people together, and his energy was contagious. Whether it was organizing group outings, planning poker games, or making sure no one was ever left out, Gannett was the glue that held his many friend groups together. He loved creating shared experiences, and his generous spirit made everyone feel included. He was a connector in every sense of the word, building bridges between people and bringing joy to their lives.
Known for his deep voice and boisterous laugh, Gannett had a personality that could light up any room. His interests were wide-ranging—he loved movies, shows, chess, poker, and enjoyed a chilly, sunny day. Gannett had a genuine and humble nature that endeared him to all who encountered him. His loyalty to his loved ones was unwavering, and his selfless approach to life made him a truly special individual.
At the core of Gannett’s life was his relationship with God. His faith was a cornerstone of his being, and he held a deep belief that God is sovereign, loving, and that Jesus’ sacrifice was the key to salvation. Gannett found joy in studying the Bible, listening to sermons, and discussing theology with anyone who would engage. His faith was simple yet profound, and it guided every aspect of his life.
Gannett is survived by his parents, Stephen and Tracie Fulford; his siblings, Esther, Thomas, and Jesse; his loving girlfriend, Laney Cruce; his grandparents, Gary and Pam Fulford, Tempa Babington, Donna and Roger Miller; and a large extended family who will all miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life for Gannett Fulford will be held on March 8, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Four Oaks Community Church in Tallahassee, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Gannett Fulford Memorial Scholarship Fund at The First Bank in Monticello, Florida. Arrangements are being handled by Tillman Funeral Home of Monticello, FL.
Though Gannett’s life was brief, his impact was immeasurable. His love for his family, friends, and community was profound, and it will be remembered for a lifetime. Rest in peace, Gannett—you will be greatly missed by all.
